Pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. § 19a-486, a nonprofit hospital must first receive approval from both the Attorney General and the DPH Commissioner before either: 

  • Transferring a material amount of its assets or operations to a for-profit entity or
  • Changing control of operations to a for-profit entity
