Non-Expedited Processing (Mail Ordering through the State Office of Vital Records)

 

Please note:  The current processing time for non-expedited requests mailed to the state vital records office is approximately six (6) weeks.

 

 

You may also obtain an official, certified copy from the town where the event occurred, if a "State" certified copy of a vital record is not needed.  The town may process certificate requests more quickly than the State.  Please contact the town for specific processing turnaround times.  Refer to the following link for the CT Town Clerk and Registrar Directory for town contact and address information.
