Paramedic license renewal fee increase
Effective October 1, 2015, Public Act 15-244, section 130 increases license renewal fees for certain professional licenses with expiration dates after this date. The additional funds created from the increase are allocated for services provided by the Health Assistance InerVention Education Network (HAVEN), a confidential program designed to enhance patient safety by supporting the health and well-being of Connecticut health professionals. Through education and prevention, early identification and intervention, referral, support and monitoring, they assist qualifying health care practitioners who suffer from chemical dependency, emotional or behavioral disorders, or physical or mental illness, to maintain their license while receiving the support necessary to practive safely and effectively.

You may notice changes to the Licensing & Certifications page of the OEMS website. We have redesigned the page to better organize the application processes by level of provider. We appreciate the feedback we have received and will continue to update the website to improve user experience.
Reminders to all Certified & Licensed EMS Organizations...
Has your EMS organization had a change in leadership? If you have a new chief of service, please notify DPH/OEMS in writing on agency letterhead within ten business days. This will assure we have your organization's proper contact information for correspondence.
Is your EMS organization planning to move its physical location? Organizations planning to move office locations must complete an application to DPH/OEMS and be approved for a "new or expanded service" prior to the move.
Do you need to drop off paperwork to OEMS? Our office is in a secure building. A drop-box is conveniently located at the 1st floor security desk at 410 Capitol Avenue to submit applications, fees or any other documents. Please schedule an appointment if you wish to meet with the staff. (Note: It is strongly recommended that all documentation be submitted via U.S. Mail, fax or email.
