Watershed Inspector Training

The Connecticut Department of Public Health, Drinking Water Section (DWS) & The Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) hosted a Certificate Watershed Inspector Training on March 31, 2015 at the MDC’s Training center.  The training provided public water system staff responsible for inspecting properties in drinking water watersheds and certified operators information to identify risks to their water supplies and provide them with tools to address potential risks.

  • Planning Your Watershed Survey
  • Septic Issues; What to Look for and Who to Call
  • Overview of Stormwater and General Permitting
  • Working Together with Municipalities on Common Issues
  • Coordinating with Agricultural Partners and Identifying Issues
