Mission

Conducts corridor and system-wide planning studies for the movement of people and goods, for all modes of transportation, including rail, bus, highway, aviation, bicycling, walking and waterway; prepares highway location plans and conceptual layouts; conducts alternatives analysis for inclusion in feasibility studies and environmental documents; administers the department's statewide commuter parking lot program; and plans and coordinates the development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
