New 2009 – "Beginning on the calendar date January 3, 2009, the Asphalt Price for the "East Coast Market – New England, New Haven, Connecticut area” will be for PG64-22 paving grade (primary binder classification).  This revision to the posted information reflects the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (Department) change to a new primary binder grade, PG64-22 for all HMA mixtures.

For existing contracts that continue to use a PG64-28 binder grade, the selling price of PG64-28 as listed in the ASPHALT WEEKLY MONITOR ® under the "East Coast Market – New England, Boston Massachusetts Area” will be used.  The asphalt price information for both binder grades will be available on the Previous History page maintained by the Department.

The Asphalt Adjustment Cost is the method of price adjustment for increases and decreases associated with changes in the price of the performance-graded binder component of bituminous concrete mixtures hot-mix asphalt (HMA).

Asphalt prices through the previous Friday are posted to the website each Wednesday at approximately 9:00 A.M.
