         The Turner Fairbank Highway Research Center  (TFHRC) is a federally owned and operated research facility in McLean, Virginia. TFHRC is the home of the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA's) Office of Research, Development, and Technology.

        The FHWA maintains an extensive informational Web site for its national transportation research, development and technology transfer programs.  You may freely view the site to learn about the FHWA's national transportation research and technology programs, which seek to advance highway technological innovation in support of FHWA strategic goals and performance objectives; advance knowledge through research, development, testing, and evaluation services; and provide support and assistance throughout FHWA in matters relating to research, development, and technology.
