The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the start of construction activities on Route 1 in Orange between Lambert Road and Race Brook Road, beginning on Monday, November 20, 2017.

The project consists of widening the existing roadway and adding a turning lane on Boston Post Road (Route 1).  The project will be done in five stages: Stages 1 and 2 are the northbound and southbound lane widening, Stages 3 and 4 are for the construction of a new culvert, and Stage 5 is for the final roadway repaving. All business entrances will be maintained during this project.
