The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the pavement preservation project for Route 2 in Marlborough and Colchester will begin on April 1, 2016.

The project consists of the milling and paving of the wearing surface on Route 2 East and Westbound including the on and off-ramps. The expansion joints of Bridges 00391 and 03460 over the Blackledge River will also be rehabilitated in association with the project.

DOT Project No. 0078-0091 was awarded to American Industries, Inc. at a cost of $7,000,000.00 on January 6, 2016 and is scheduled to be completed July 26, 2016.
