Route 7, Wilton

Water Shutoff Rescheduled To Thursday Night, October 2, 2008

The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced today that Aquarion Water Company of Connecticut will be shutting off the water supply to area businesses and residents on Route 7 in Wilton to allow work on the water main.  The shutoff will take place on Thursday night, October 2, 2008, at the intersection of Routes 7 and 33 (Ridgefield Road), from 10:00pm to 4:00am.  The work, originally scheduled for Thursday night, September 25, was postponed due to inclement weather.

Residents and businesses in this area will be notified by Aquarion Water Company prior to the water service being shut off.  For more information, please contact Aquarion Water Company’s customer service at 203-445-7310.

The water shutoff is in association with the reconstruction project on Route 7 in Wilton that will accommodate two travel lanes, both northbound and southbound, for a length of approximately three miles from Wolfpit Road to Olmstead Hill Road.  The project is scheduled for completion in April 2010.

Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
