Wilton, ConnecticutConnecticut Department of Transportation officials announced today that Aquarion Water Company of Connecticut will be shutting off the water supply to area businesses and residents on Route 7 in Wilton to allow work on the water main.  The shut offs will take place at night, from 10:00pm to 4:00am each night, as follows:

 

·         Tuesday, September 23 – in front of Crowne Pond (between Old Highway and Route 33)

·         Thursday, September 25 – at the intersection of Routes 7 and 33 (Ridgefield Road)

 

Residents and businesses in these areas will be notified by Aquarion prior to the water service being shut off.  For more information, please contact Aquarion Water Company’s customer service at 203-445-7310.

 

The water shutoffs are in association with the reconstruction project on Route 7 in Wilton that will accommodate two travel lanes, both northbound and southbound, for a length of approximately three miles from Wolfpit Road to Olmstead Hill Road.  The project is scheduled for completion in April 2010.

 

Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
