NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on

Route 71 from northbound exit from Route 9 to the Farmington Town Line in New Britain.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, August 25, 2008 and continue through Friday, September 26, 2008.

 

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday - Friday).

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
