NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 106 (Hoyt Street & Old Stamford Road) from Courtland Ave. to the Route 15 southbound ramps, in Darien/New Canaan. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, July 14, 2008 and continue through Tuesday, July 29, 2008.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Mondays - Fridays).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
