NEWINGTON, Conn. - Acting Transportation Commissioner H. James Boice announced today that Survey Work will be performed on I-84 (eastbound and westbound) on the Charter Oak Bridge in the vicinity of the I-91 northbound on ramp (Exit 51). This project is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 4, 2008.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the project is 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday evening).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
