Route 222
Rehabilitation of Bridge No. 01847 over Leadmine Brook
Harwinton, CT - The Department of Transportation announced today, weather permitting, Route 222 (Hill Road) over the Leadmine Brook will change traffic patterns for Stage 2 Construction. Alternating one-way traffic on the new bridge deck will begin on Monday, December 17, 2007. These operations are required for the replacement of the bridge deck on Bridge No. 01847 over Leadmine Brook. Blakeslee Arpaia Chapman, Inc. of Branford, CT will be performing this work.
Anticipated contract completion is scheduled for November 2008
Traffic Operations
Alternating one-way traffic will be in effect around the clock through the end of September 2008.
Expect delays at all times.
Motorists are urged to use caution through the work zones and should reduce their speed accordingly.
Temporary traffic signals and construction signs will be utilized for traffic control.
