Nighttime Closures of Wooster Street On-Ramp
to I-95 Northbound and I-91 Southbound Off-Ramp
to I-95 Northbound in New Haven Scheduled for
November 12 through November 16
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) is announcing that night time closures of the Wooster Street on-ramp to I-95 Northbound and the I-91 Southbound off-ramp to I-95 Northbound in New Haven will occur beginning Monday, November 12 through Friday, November 16 from 11:00p.m. to 6:00a.m. The work is part of the emergency deck repairs on the existing Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge and will occur weather permitting.
Detour for the Wooster Street on-ramp to I-95 NB: Traveling west on Wooster Street, turn right onto Franklin Street. Turn left onto Chestnut Street. Turn left onto Water Street and follow Water Street down to Long Wharf Drive. Turn right at Long Wharf and continue down Long Wharf to the I-95 NB on-ramp.
Detour for I-91 Southbound onto I-95 Northbound: Traveling down I-91 Southbound, take the exit for I-95 Southbound, then take Exit 46. Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Sargent Drive. Continue down Sargent Drive to Canal Dock Road. Turn right under the bridge onto Canal Dock Road. At the traffic light, turn right onto Long Wharf Road; continue down Long Wharf Road to the entrance ramp to I-95 Northbound.
The work is part of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program and is being performed under a $1.5-million contract awarded to Blakeslee Arpaia Chapman, Inc., of Branford, Connecticut.
