NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that Paving will be performed on I-84 (east & west), between Exits 49 and 51 (Hartford Tunnel), in Hartford. This project is scheduled to take place on or about Monday, October 15, 2007 and Tuesday, October 16, 2007.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday – Tuesday evenings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
