NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 147, from just west of Route 17 to Briarwood Road, in Durham. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday October 15, 2007 and continue through Tuesday, October 16, 2007.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Tuesday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
