Lane Shift on I-95 Southbound near Exit 50 (Woodward Avenue) in New Haven Scheduled to Begin on October 11
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) is announcing that a lane shift on I-95 Southbound near Exit 50 (Woodward Avenue) in New Haven is scheduled to begin on October 11. The existing southbound lanes will be shifted to the north beginning Thursday, October 11 at 9:00p.m. until further notice; the shift will place traffic onto newly constructed pavement and is necessary to reconstruct existing southbound travel lanes.
The work is part of Contract C2 of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program. Contract C2 is located in New Haven and consists of the reconstruction of approximately one mile of I-95 just east of Stiles Street in New Haven to the New Haven/East Haven town line. Construction is scheduled to be completed in June 2009.
