Corrective Work and Completion of State Project Nos. 151-274/294

Waterbury, CT - The Department of Transportation announced today that, weather permitting, Empire Paving, of North Haven, CT has begun the next stage of construction work on State Project 151-309 on I-84 in the Town of Cheshire and City of Waterbury on October 5, 2007. 

Motorists are advised of the following:

I-84 Westbound

• After the on-ramp from State Route 70 the slow vehicle lanes merges with mainline.
• At the I-691 entrance the left lane merges with mainline.

Motorists are reminded to use caution through the work zones and should reduce their speed accordingly.

Construction signs and State and Local Police will be utilized for traffic control.
