NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that Resurfacing project will be performed on I-84 (eastbound & westbound), in Vernon. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, October 1, 2007 and continue through Thursday, October 4, 2007.
This project will take place on I-84 eastbound from Exit 63 to Exits 64/65 and on I-84 westbound from Bramforth Road to Exit 65.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday – Thursday evenings). No work is scheduled for the weekends.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
