FULL BRIDGE CLOSURE FOR FINAL BRIDGE BALANCING
Route 130, Stratford Avenue over the Pequonnock River
Bridge No. 02475, Bridgeport, Connecticut
Newington, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced today that construction activity on Bridge No. 02475 over the Pequonnock River will result in the closure of Stratford Avenue on Wednesday and Thursday, September 12, and 13, 2007 between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The roadway will be closed to allow the contractor to complete final bridge balancing.
To avoid travel delays through the area please plan ahead and consider alternate routes to get to your destination. The Bridgeport Police will be utilized, along with traffic detour signage to provide safe travel during construction operations.
Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone
Obey the posted speed limit and allow for extra travel time
