Intermittent Closures of Saw Mill Road in West Haven
for setting of steel I-95 Bridge over Saw Mill Road
August 22 – August 24, 2007

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) has announced that there will be intermittent closures of Saw Mill Road near exit 42 in West Haven between the hours of 7:00 pm and 6:00 am, Wednesday August 22 through Friday August 24 to facilitate erection of structural steel for the I-95 Bridge over Saw Mill Road. All truck traffic will be directed from Saw Mill Road to Railroad Avenue and Allings Crossing Road. Local access to Saw Mill Road will be permitted. Detour signs will be posted. Local police will also be on hand to assist motorists
The entire project includes reconstruction of the I-95 bridge over Saw Mill Road (Route 162), a new Northbound off-ramp and reconfiguration of all other ramps, and reconstruction of Saw Mill Road between the Southbound off-ramp and the Northbound on-ramp.
