NEWINGTON, Conn.- State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Traffic Loop Installation project will be performed on Route 9 (southbound) between Exits 20 and 21, in Berlin. This project is scheduled to take place on or about Wednesday, August 8, 2007. Rain date: Thursday, August 9, 2007.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (Wednesday evening).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
