NEWINGTON, Conn.- State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Bridge Maintenance project will be performed on I-84 (eastbound) between Exits 3 and 7, in Danbury. This project is scheduled to take place on or about Saturday, July 28, 2007. Rain date: Saturday, August 4, 2007.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Saturday evening).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
