Nighttime Closure of the Exit 50 On-ramp
(Woodward Avenue) to I-95 Southbound in New Haven
RESCHEDULED for July 26
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) is announcing that the nighttime closure of the Exit 50 on-ramp (Woodward Avenue) to I-95 Southbound in New Haven has been rescheduled to occur on Thursday, July 26 from 9:00p.m. to 6:00a.m. The closure is necessary to facilitate installation of bridge joints and will occur weather permitting.
Lane closures can be expected and the survey work will also require traffic to be halted for 10-minute intervals several times overnight between 12:00 midnight and 5:00a.m.
The work is part of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program and is being performed under a $1.5-million contract awarded to Blakeslee Arpaia Chapman, Inc., of Branford, Connecticut. Work is scheduled to be completed in late September 2007.
