DOT Announces Traffic Shift
Route 130 over the Pequonnock River
City of Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, CT – The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced today that traffic on Route 130 will be shifted to the south side of the Pequonnock River Bridge on Tuesday, July 24, 2007.
Alternating one way traffic can be expected between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Bridge Operation Restriction
Fishing vessels and other marine traffic will be provided two (2) one-hour windows for bridge openings during the day. The periods for lift span openings are 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. No night restrictions are scheduled at this time.
The work is part of a $3.34 million dollar project being completed by Hartland Building and Restoration Company. The project is scheduled for completion in late August 2007.
Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone
Obey the posted speed limit and allow for extra travel time
