Nighttime Closure of the Exit 50 On-ramp (Woodward Avenue) to I-95 Southbound in New Haven Scheduled for July 18 and July 19
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) is announcing that the nighttime closure of the Exit 50 on-ramp (Woodward Avenue) to I-95 Southbound in New Haven has been rescheduled to occur on Wednesday, July 18 and Thursday, July 19 from 9:00p.m. to 6:00a.m. The closure is necessary to facilitate final paving of the on-ramp and will occur weather permitting.
Traffic will be detoured to Forbes Avenue onto the Exit 49 on-ramp (Stiles Street). Detour signs will be posted to guide motorists.
The work is part of Contract C2 of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program. Contract C2 is located in New Haven and consists of the reconstruction of approximately one mile of I-95 just east of Stiles Street in New Haven to the New Haven/East Haven town line.
