NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Pavement Marking project will be performed on Routes 81, 82, 85, 163, 165, 184 & 214, in Haddam, Montville, Waterford, Montville, Voluntown, Stonington, N. Stonington & Ledyard.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, June 18, 2007 and continue through Tuesday, June 26, 2007.                                                

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday - Thursday evenings).  No work will be performed on Fridays Saturdays or Sundays. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
