NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 6, in Killingly. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Thursday, May 31, 2007 and continue through Wednesday, June 20, 2007.
This project will take place on a 2-mile section of Route 6 from the Southbound I-395 underpass to SR 607 (Westcott Road).
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday). No work will take place on Saturdays or Sundays.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
