NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a guide rail installation project will be performed on Route 14A, in the vicinity of New Road, in Plainfield. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, May 21, 2007 and continue through Tuesday, May 22, 2007.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday-Tuesday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
