Rehabilitation of Bridge No. 05457
Detour Scheduled for Route 216
Clarks Falls Road, North Stonington, CT
North Stonington, CT- The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced today that on or about May 29, 2007 the bridge located over Spalding Pond on Route 216, Clarks Falls Road, between Pendleton Hill Road and Boom Bridge Road will be closed to traffic. A detour will be posted and require motorists traveling on Route 216 to use Routes 49 and 184 as alternate routes. The detour is expected to be in place for 21 days with the bridge reopened to traffic on or about June 19, 2007.
The detour is required as part of the $499,999 rehabilitation work being performed by Arborio Corporation from Cromwell, Ct. The scheduled completion date for the project is October 25, 2007.
