Guide Rail Upgrade Routes 94 and 17
Glastonbury and Middletown, Connecticut
The Department of Transportation announced today that a contract for Guide Rail Upgrades on Routes 94 and 17, in the Towns of Glastonbury and Middletown will begin on May 1, 2007. Existing traffic operations will be maintained on Routes 94 and 17, Monday through Friday, between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
In addition to guide rail upgrades the contract also includes work on bridge rail attachments, bridge rail, and parapets at the following bridges:
Route 94: Bridge Nos. 5367, 0867, and 0868.
Route 17: Bridge No. 0858, and Brown Street Culvert
This project was awarded to The Quaker Corporation for the amount of $1,175,095.00 and has a scheduled completion date of November 23, 2007.
