Replacement of Bridge # 00914 over the Nepaug River

New Hartford, CT-       The Department of Transportation today announced work has begun  on the replacement of Bridge #00914 over the Nepaug River in New Hartford.  Work under this project includes the reconstruction of Route 44 for 650 feet in both directions. Hemlock Construction Company, Inc. of Torrington will be performing this work. 

Traffic Operations

Existing traffic will be maintained between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Alternating one-way traffic may be encountered at other times.  Expect delays during the day.

Construction signs and State Police will be utilized for traffic control.  

Contract completion is scheduled for December 2007.
