The Department of Transportation announced today, that beginning March  19 , 2007, Tilcon Connecticut Incorporated will begin work on resurfacing and safety improvements on I-91 in Windsor and Hartford.  

Shoulder closures will be in place between 9 am and 3 pm at the following locations:  

The ramp from I-84 eastbound to I-91 northbound; on I-291 westbound in Windsor; and at various locations along I-91 in Hartford and Windsor including entrance and exit ramps.  The High Occupancy Vehicle Lanes (HOV) from Hartford to Windsor may also be closed between the hours of  9 am and  3  pm. 

All traffic lanes will remain open during the morning (6 to 9) and afternoon (3-6) commuter hours.  

The project is scheduled to be completed by November 22, 2007.
