Opening of Lower Waterfront Street Connector near I-95 Exit 50 (Woodward Avenue) in New Haven Scheduled for December 15
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) is announcing that the opening of the lower Waterfront Street connector near I-95 Exit 50 Northbound (Woodward Avenue) in New Haven is scheduled for Friday, December 15, 2006. This will allow motorists to access Waterfront Street directly from the new Exit 50 off-ramp from I-95 Northbound.
The work is part of Contract C2 of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program. Contract C2 is located in New Haven and consists of the reconstruction of approximately one mile of I-95 just east of Stiles Street in New Haven to the New Haven/East Haven town line. Construction is scheduled to be completed in June 2009.
