CTDOT offers Opportunity for Food Truck Vendors to Serve the West Haven Train Station

In response to requests from commuters and the recent success in obtaining a vendor for the Fairfield Metro rail station, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is seeking proposals from interested food truck vendors to operate at the West Haven train station in West Haven, Connecticut. The agency will formally issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) on Monday, June 12, 2017.

CTDOT has identified an area within the Railroad Avenue (to New York) side parking lot, across from the main station building suitable to accommodate a mobile based vendor.

Interested parties may contact Daniel M. Baker in CTDOT’s Office of Rail at 203-497-3363 or Daniel.Baker@ct.gov – to request a copy of the RFP.

A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. for all prospective proposers. This conference will be held in the main lobby of the station, located at 20 Railroad Avenue. Responses to the RFP will be due by Friday, June 30, 2017.

If selected, the vendor must be registered with the Secretary of the State to do business in the State of Connecticut and comply with applicable state and local requirements.
