Shore Line East Initiates Customer Satisfaction Survey

A customer service and satisfaction survey is underway on Shore Line East -- the commuter railroad between New Haven and New London. Commuters will find the survey on their seats and are encouraged to fill them out and turn them in by Tuesday, May, 9, 2017.

"Customer satisfaction is paramount for us, and we hope to make our service even better once we analyze the survey results," said Richard Andreski, chief of the Bureau of Public Transportation in the Connecticut Department of Transportation, which oversees Shore Line East operations. "This is the third time in recent years that we have asked customers for their input."

Mr. Andreski said the survey results should be tabulated by mid-summer.

Reminder to Branford customers with the new north side station platform added last Fall 2016, Branford customers can access Shore Line East trains both in the mornings and evenings 7 days a week.

Shore Line East, owned by the Connecticut Department of Transportation and Amtrak the contracted operator, serves over 600,000 commuters annually. SLE operates 34 weekday trains and 19 weekend and holiday trains. SLE also operates four trains through to and from Stamford each weekday. The  line includes stops in New Haven,  Branford, Guilford, Madison, Clinton, Westbrook, Old Saybrook and New London.
