Connecticut River Ferry Service Alerts Now Available Online

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) announced today that it has begun offering automatic service alerts for the two Connecticut River ferries one between Rocky Hill and Glastonbury and the other between Chester and Hadlyme. The seasonal ferries operate from April 1 to November 30 each year.

On occasion, because of high water or other issues, service is suspended. That information will now be available to those who sign up for e-alerts through the DOT website at www.ct.gov/dot.  Interested members of the public should click on the Ferries & Ports button near the top of the page then click on the link for the desired method of receiving alerts either by email or tweets.

Additional information about the Rocky Hill-Glastonbury Ferry may be found here; information about the Chester-Hadlyme Ferry may be found here.
