State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that through the Department of Administrative Services, a Supplemental Invitation to Bid for Trucks with Operators has been posted. The Department of Transportation is seeking bidders to assist in snow removal on various highways throughout the State of Connecticut.
Any Vendor that has previously submitted a bid and have been notified by DAS that they will not be placed on the contract award now have an opportunity to resolve any issues and submit a new bid for consideration. In a change from previous years the Department is requesting trucks in three categories beginning with a GVWR of 19,500 lbs and above. These trucks are required to supplement the current Department of Transportation fleet of plow trucks. Trucks with their operators that are awarded to this contract will be assigned to assist a Maintenance District in snow removal operations.
