Wilton, Connecticut – Connecticut Department of Transportation officials are announcing that Aquarion Water Company of Connecticut will be shutting off the water supply to area businesses and residents on Route 7 in Wilton to allow work on the water main. In addition, the shutoff may also affect residents and businesses in neighboring areas. The shut offs will take place at night, from 10:00pm to 4:00am, as follows:
- Tuesday, June 17 – High School Drive area
- Thursday, June 26 – Cannon Road area
Residents and businesses in these areas will be notified by Aquarion prior to the water service being shut off. The work is weather sensitive and may be rescheduled if weather conditions are not favorable. For more information, please contact Aquarion Water Company’s customer service at 203-445-7310.
The water shutoffs are in association with the reconstruction project on Route 7 in Wilton, that will accommodate two travel lanes, both northbound and southbound, for a length of approximately three miles from Wolfpit Road to Olmstead Hill Road. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2010.
Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel.
