Metro-North Danbury Branch Line
Bus Service To Replace Train Service
Weekend of June 7 & 8, 2008
Danbury/Wilton, Connecticut – Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that bus service will replace train service on the Metro-North Danbury Branch Line the weekend of Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8, 2008.
The Department of Transportation is working closely with Metro-North to coordinate the track outage and provide notice to customers. Posters will be placed at the station as well as public information materials will be available. Consult travel details on-line at www.mta.info.
This two-day interruption of rail service is required for a drainage installation that requires the contractor to cross the railroad tracks in Wilton. The work is in association with the reconstruction project on Route 7 that is scheduled for completion in April 2010.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation appreciates your patience as work progresses steadily on the Route 7 Wilton construction project.
