NEWINGTON, Conn. - Acting Transportation Commissioner H. James Boice announced today that a Bridge Maintenance project will be performed on I-84 (westbound) between Exits 24 and 18, in Waterbury. This project is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 & Thursday, April 17, 2008 & Saturday, April 19, 2008.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday evenings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
