  State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Bridge Maintenance project will be performed on Route 15 (southbound) over Ridge Road in Hartford/Wethersfield. This project is scheduled to take place on or about Wednesday, August 27, 2008.

Milling and Resurfacing - Route I-395 (northbound) between Exits 79A and 80 in Montville
  State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on I-395 (northbound) between Exits 79A and 80 in Montville. This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, August 25, 2008 and continue through Thursday, August 28, 2008.

Milling and Resurfacing - Route I-84 (eastbound & westbound) from Route 6 to the Rochambeau Bridge in Newtown
  State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today a change in starting times for the ongoing Milling and Resurfacing project on I-84 (eastbound and westbound) from Route 6 to the Rochambeau Bridge in Newtown. This project had begun on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 and will continue through Thursday, September 18, 2008.

  State Transportation Commissioner Joseph F. Marie announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 149 from Church Street to Old Hartford Road in Colchester. This project is scheduled to occur on or about Tuesday, August 26, 2008 and continue through Tuesday, September 16, 2008.

Bus Ridership soars
  As the price of gasoline continues to stay around $4 a gallon, commuters in Connecticut are trying to find more effective ways to cut commuting costs. An easy solution is to take public transportation. Many in Connecticut have figured that out as ridership on CTTRANSIT buses, in July, posted the largest percentage increase in more than a year.

Summer and Holiday Lane Closure Restrictions, 2008 (UPDATED)
  on major expressways any operation that is considered an interference with normal traffic movements will not be permitted on dates and times noted below. For all other roadways, allowable operations will be determined on a project by project basis. Routine maintenance work will not be scheduled during these times. Only work of an emergency nature will be considered.
