Thank you for visiting the Division of Special Revenue’s web site. The Division is the chief gaming enforcement agency for the state of Connecticut and is responsible for regulating the activities of the Connecticut Lottery, the state’s system of Off-Track Betting operated by Autotote Enterprises, greyhound racing conducted at Shoreline Star Greyhound Park, in Bridgeport, and the authorized Charitable Games including Bingo, Sealed Ticket Sales, Bazaars, and Raffles. Pursuant to Tribal/State agreements, the Division also licenses the gaming-related persons and firms employed by the Foxwoods Resort Casino and the Mohegan Sun casino, operated by the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes, respectively, and participates in oversight of the tribal slot and/or video facsimile machine activity at each casino. We license only suitable individuals and organizations, and are pleased to serve the people of Connecticut by ensuring that all legalized gaming is properly licensed and operates at the highest levels of integrity. We provide due process for those individuals who are denied gaming licenses or whose gaming licenses are revoked. The Division enforces all State statutes, regulations and procedures that help assure the public that gaming is conducted honestly and with integrity in the State of Connecticut. The men and women of the Division are professionals who believe in the mission of the Division, which reads as follows:
The mission of the Division of Special Revenue is to ensure the highest degree of integrity in the conduct of all forms of legalized gambling within the State of Connecticut and the federally recognized Tribal nations within the State. We accomplish our mission by licensing or permitting all individuals and entities that are involved with legalized gambling and by monitoring and educating to ensure compliance with the gaming laws and the Tribal - State agreements. We assure public confidence in the honesty and fairness of all facets of gambling for the highest quality benefit to the State.
