DOIT provides secure virtual private network (VPN) access to more than 2,6O0 state agency customers throughout the state. Remote connectivity methods include dial-up, ISDN, DSL, cable and wireless.
 
How to Request VPN Access
New customers may request VPN access services using our convenient online form. Existing customers can also use this form for assistance, including additions, removals, and changes.

Download VPN Client Software
VPN client software is required to use the service. This sofware supports Win98, WinNT, Win2000, WinME, and WinXP. DOIT customers are advised that this service is now available for machines using the Microsoft Vista operating system. Please read DOIT's 3/6/07 customer advisory for details. See link below.
 
To download the VPN Client Software, use this link: ftp://ftp.state.ct.us/vpn
 
To download the VPN Client Software for Windows Vista 64 bit: ftp://ftp.state.ct.us/pub/vpn/NVC64-10.01.052.exe
 
To download the VPN Client Software for Windows Vista 32 bit: ftp://ftp.state.ct.us/pub/vpn/eac607d.exe
 
To determine what version Vista you are running:
  1. Open System by clicking the Start button
  2. click Control Panel,
  3. click System and Maintenance,
  4. click System
  5. Under System, you can view the system type.
