Position Title: State School Teachers (12 Month ABE/GED)-RE-POST

Locations:
Manson Youth Institution in Cheshire, CT
Hours: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Salary:
Bachelor's Degree $53,237.00
Master's Degree   $55,906.00
6th Year Degree   $59,818.00
Closing Date: July 31, 2012
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of the philosophy and methods of education and teaching; knowledge of the principles and practices of education for special needs population; knowledge of student program needs and goal setting; ability to motivate students; ability to communicate at the appropriate level; ability to establish cooperative relationships; ability to prepare written reports.
General Experience:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.  Based on SDE requirements, applicants need to be eligible to teach adult education or have applied for the adult education certification.
Preferred Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with current teaching experience.
Special Requirement:
Candidates need to hold Connecticut Certification in Math, grades 7-12 (#029).
