Section 36a-145 of the Connecticut General Statutes requires that each application for a branch, or for a limited branch at which money will be lent, be accompanied by a plan detailing how adequate services to meet the banking needs of all community residents will be provided. Plans are submitted when such applications are filed and are available for public inspection and comment at this Department for a period of 30 days. MONEY ORDER AND TRAVELERS CHECK LICENSEE ACTIVITY

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 36a-600 of the Connecticut General Statutes, on March 4, 1998, The Pay-O-Matic Corp. filed an application to engage in the business of receiving money for transmitting the same.

SECTION 36a-425 APPROVAL

On March 6, 1998, approval was granted to Ulster Savings Bank, a New York corporation, to establish an office of its subsidiary, Ulster Home Mortgage, Inc., a Connecticut corporation, at 335 Post Road West, Westport, Connecticut.
