Renew Your License Online

 

 

All renewal notices are mailed approximately 30–45 days prior to the expiration date of each license, permit, or registration

 

The renewal notice includes the User Id required to renew online.  You can only renew online if your renewal notice contains online renewal information.  If your license is not available to renew online, follow the instructions on your renewal notice.   

 

 

To renew your license online, go to the CT eLicense website at www.elicense.ct.gov

  • If you have not previously logged in to your account, or have forgotten your password, click on “Forgot Password”.  
  • Follow the prompts to obtain a new password. (If you receive an “Email not Found” notification, or if the email shown is not correct, please see the box below for instructions to contact the agency by email.  We cannot add or change your email address over the phone.)

    1.  Enter your User ID and Password to access your account.   

    2.  After setting up your account, scroll to the bottom of the eLicense page and click on “Renewal”.  Follow all instructions to review your contact information, enter any necessary information and pay for your renewal by credit card or check.
