DOAG: Farmers' Market at the Hartford Regional Market

The Farmers' Market at the Regional Market

An expansive and unique farmers’ market administered by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture has operated for decades on the grounds of the Regional Market and continues to offer a shopping experience unlike any other available today.

The Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend is traditionally the busiest market day of the year, when consumers flock to the market to shop for trees, hanging plants, shrubs, perennials, and bedding plants.

In summer and fall, shoppers can find a wide variety of fruits and vegetables along with an assortment of other products such as cut flowers, honey, eggs, and maple syrup.  Some items may be available through an extended season.

The greatest selection of vendors and products can be found on Saturday mornings, May through October.  Many vendors also sell on Sunday mornings between Mother's Day and Father's Day.

For a successful shopping experience, please bring your own wagon or cart to transport purchases back to your vehicle (carts are not available at the market), and bring a flashlight if shopping before sunrise.

Please also remember that most vendors do not offer credit card transactions and there is no ATM on the property.  Farmers may sell out before the market ends at 9:00 a.m., so arrive early for best selection.

Please call 860-713-2503 or 860-527-5047 with questions or for more information.
