DOAG: Farmers' Market at the Hartford Regional Market

The Farmers' Market at the Regional Market

A seasonal farmers’ market operates on the grounds of the Regional Market under a 170’ x 50’ open-air pavilion and expansive parking lot attracting an average of 10,000 customers annually.

The greatest activity occurs in the spring, most notably the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend, when consumers come to purchase trees, hanging plants, shrubs, perennials, and bedding plants.  Later in the summer, starting in June, fruits and vegetables are available along with an assortment of other products such as cut flowers, honey, eggs, and maple syrup.  Items such as honey, eggs, maple syrup, and greenhouse crops, however, are available year round.

For a successful trip to the farmers' market keep these things in mind:

  • Gates are open from 4:00 to 10:00 a.m., however the earlier you get there, the wider the selection
  • Bring a flashlight and a wagon/cart to carry your purchases
  • Please note: most vendors do have credit card capabilities
Over 40 vendors are at the market each weekend starting in the spring through mid fall.
